Girls soccer season is back! As part of our season exercise, we reached out to our coaches to get the low-down on their teams.

Coach’s season outlook:  This year is an exciting year for our girls team. We are rebuilding and adding the players that we see fit the system that we are developing. Coach’s season outlook:

We got demoted last season, but almost all our non-conference games are against teams that were in our conference last year. The reason I did this is I want the team to strive to be better than last season and so I scheduled a lot of games against teams we lost to. Our top players last year were underclassmen so I look forward to this season as these players develop as a team.

2025 outlook: We’re an experienced team prepared to take that next step into the elite in the state. These last two years have seen us reach the first two Sectional Finals in program history, but with the returning experience we have and the new incoming quality to the team, we’ve raised our expectations and goals. We’ve planned out an even more challenging schedule this year by joining the Naperville Invitational and, of course, returning for the Lou Malnati’s Classic. Ultimately we’ve targeted surpassing our last couple of seasons and getting to that next level.

With a solid core of returning players we look to bounce back from last year’s results.  We are excited about integrating 5 freshmen into the team.  Our goal is to win the First Division North conference.

Coach’s Season Outlook: Coming off debatably the best roster Payton has seen in many years, this year’s team has big shoes to fill. Replacing 3-4 four-year varsity starters is always tough, but this group has been waiting for the opportunity as we look to turn at least a few heads.

The road to Conference and City will go through Lane until someone proves otherwise. All of our Conference games are big City clashes and wonderful spectacles.

Coach’s season outlook:

We are going to have to find the balance between our experienced players and some exciting new talent. We expect to be solid defensively all season as we continue to gel and we hope to develop attacking threats around the pitch. We will be playing as competitive of a schedule as we ever have and look to develop as a team to be reckoned with moving forward.
