CHICAGO PUBLIC LEAGUE (CPL) GIRLS AND BOYS INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD
CITY CHAMPIONSHIPS SET FOR SATURDAY, MARCH 18 AT GATELY PARK
Chicago, IL (March 16, 2023) – The Chicago Public League (CPL) Girls and Boys Indoor Track and Field City Championships will take place this Saturday, March 18, at Dr. Conrad Worrill Track & Field Center at Gately Park, located at 10201 S Cottage Grove Avenue.
Defending boys champion Lane Tech and girls champion Kenwood will look to repeat for city titles out of a field of more than 40 teams and close to 300 top individual performers.
The field events begin at 10am followed by the Track events to start at 11am.

About The Dr. Conrad Worrill Track and Field Center at Gately Park
The Dr. Conrad Worrill Track and Field Center is a world-class indoor track and field facility with a state-of-the-art hydraulically banked 200-meter track offering a variety of activities. Located in the Pullman community, the 139,000-square foot facility has seating capacity of 3,500 and includes many supporting amenities. Additionally, the facility will feature a 4,000-square foot curtained warm-up area, eight sprint lanes, two long and triple jump runways and pits, pole-vault runway and pads, a high jump area, discus area, and scoreboard.
The facility will offer various track and field classes and programs as well as host a variety of prestigious competitions and regional and national championships. The 70,000 sq ft open space inside the track has versatile areas that are programmed for recreational basketball and volleyball. Various programs and classes will be available for youth and adults alike with open access to all to participate in afterschool programs, seasonal sports and special events. During the summer, youth will be able to participate in various programs, training, and specialty camps.
