Brooks, Lindblom and Brown Claim CPS SCORE! Elementary Cheer City Championships

The Forum at the University of Illinois-Chicago served as host site for this year’s CPS SCORE Cheer Elementary School Championships on March 11.

Ninety participating elementary schools were vying for a chance to win a city championship in three classifications – small division, medium division, and large division competitions.

“CPS SCORE would like to thank all of our student competitors at this year’s championships,, and we were equally thrilled to have a record number of participating schools this season,” noted Ashlee Anderson, athletic program administrator for cheer for the CPS Office of Sports Administration. 

The divisions are determined by enrollment at each of our CPS SCORE! elementary schools. The top three medal winning teams in each division are listed below.

“We congratulate this year’s cheer champions – Lindblom AC (small division), Ronald Brown Elementary (medium division), and Brooks AC (large division) as well as all team medalists, coaches, administrators, and supporters for their dedication and hard work during the season and throughout the championships,” said Juliana Zavala, Senior Manager of Elementary Sports.

Small Division

1st Place — Lindblom AC

2nd Place– Hoyne School

3rd Place — Burnside Scholastic Academy

Medium Division

1st — Ronald Brown Elementary

2nd — Deneen Elementary

3rd — Dixon Elementary

Large Division

1st — Brooks AC

2nd –Bell Elementary

3rd — Kenwood AC
