The Chicago Elite Classic took place at Credit Union1 Arena this past weekend and included a number of CPL teams. Boys teams played Friday and Saturday at UIC, while the girls played Sunday at Malcolm X College.

Day 1 results

Perspectives-Leadership 60, Crane 57: Xavier Porter led the way with 13 points and 7 rebounds as the Warriors pulled out the close win to kick off the CEC. Ian Flowers added 10 points, while Tristan Howard had nine points and 15 rebounds. Brad Blackman had 17 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocks, Jamier Montgomery 13 points and JR Swift 12 points to lead the Cougars.

New Trier 52, Lane 27: The Champions were led by Matthew Szafoni’s 7 points and 8 rebounds, while Cole Christian added 7 points of his own.

Hyde Park 56, Lincoln Park 50: Lonnie Mosley had 15 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists and Amare LeFlore 14 points, 3rebounds and 3steals in the win, while Larry Harris’s 20 points and 11 rebounds and Jaylen Dickerson’s 13 points led the Lions.
