The girls water polo city playoffs are underway and eight teams faced off Thursday at UIC to see which teams would make it to the semifinals Friday night.
Below are the results from the quarterfinals.
Jones/Payton 14, Northside 3
Jade Bonaparte led the defending city champions with four goals.
Lindblom 11, Solorio 2
Daphne Vasquez led the victors with five goals, while Taniah Miles added four.
Whitney Young 15, Taft 6
Bianca Perez led the Dolphins with six goals. Luna Lopez led Taft with three goals.
Lane 13, Curie 3
Lydia Palilonas had five goals to lead Lane to the semifinals Friday.
