The boys water polo city playoffs are underway and eight teams faced off Wednesday at UIC to see which teams would make it to the semifinals Friday night.
Below are the results from the quarterfinals.
Jones/Payton 16, Amundsen 10
Jones/Payton moves on to the semifinals with a win over the Vikings courtesy of five goal scorers. Max Steffanus scored nine goals to lead the Greagles, while Wesley Zhao had three. Isaac Gehrenbeck had five goals in the loss.
Curie 14, Lindblom/Goode 9
Kevin Gama led the way for the defending city champions with five goals. Larry Rattler had four in the loss.
Lane 13, Kennedy 7
David Sura led Lane with four goals, while Michal Gawlak had four in the loss for Kennedy.
Young 16, Kenwood 7
Luke Spasic led the Dolphins with four goals. Jordan Sangoleye had three goals and two assists for the Broncos.
